Hi there,
Those who passed the exam, would you recommend any particular online practice exams vendor?
I know what you going to say …”you cannot only cram the questions and pass”.
I've been studying for 4 months now, and I read every possible studying material, just want to be sure that I covered all what I can.

Thanks in advance!

I'm using the Boson exam prep to study for Security+ right now and I quite like them. I usually stick with Trancender, but I've heard so many good things about Boson and Sec+ that I had to try them this go-around.

I passed the Sec+ last month. I studied real hard for about a month. I used the Boson tests. I also used the Free PDF, Exam Cram2 and the passport (with the practice exams in the back of those books). Be prepared to memorize alot and regurgitate it on the day of the exam. CompTIA seems to be good for alot of memorization, still don't know how I feel about that.

I used Transcenders along with countless study guides for all my certs and never failed. Tried Transenders for Security+ and scoring into the 90s. Same with Boson #2....and failed Sec+ twice. Go figure? For what it's worth, I did like the long explanations of the correct answers in Transenders better than Boson. I'm going to supplement my tests with Boson #1 and #3 this time around....and Tcats full PDF no doubt. Best of luck...better luck than I had anywho.

After having a race through Tcats new test sim that is free with the full pdf ... I am stoked and will be definitely using it when I resit early next year.

I don't think you can beat either the price (free) or the quality of the questions available on the www.cccure.org site. Sure they relate to the CISSP exam, but I'll tell you that having taken that exam before I tackled the Security+ exam simply meant that I didn't have to study for the Security+ exam. In other words, it was kind of like a two-fer. Study for one and pass two exams.

Steve

Myer's passport and MS Press did the trick for me back in January when they were the only titles available.
