| Hey All, the names Jedi, I'm not new to here but I never post.... well I guess that makes me new. Just wanted to tell everyone I passed the Security+ exam today! w00t! And to people who haven't taken it yet:
1.) You will read a ton of posts on various webpages/forums talking about how bad the questions are worded and how impossible the exam is. For example, one guy claimed to be working as a computer security consultant for 2+ years and failed the exam. ( I feel really really sorry for any of business that aquire his services =)
2.) The test, I thought, was great and well worded. Not all choices were obvious right or wrong but you just need to use "narrowing down" techniques and a little common sense and you will do fine. The certification would be pointless if they gave you the answers eh!
Well later guys- | |

| Well I mainly used the Syngress book, but I also purchased the ExamCram2 book just for the CD and the tests in the back. They are a very high recommend by me. I would definetly not put any money into the "Security+ Career Passport". It is not going to help you any more than the two resources I listed above. And as I did, one should always 'google' the 'net for any security+ practice exam and resource they can find.
Just take some time to study a couple days, then schedule the test on a day you have COMPLETELY open. I always recommend around noon, wake up eat a good breakfast relax, do flash cards or some easy relaxing reviewing ( what ever works for you) and then go take the test!
Be confident, but wise, and DONT second guess yourself. Always use your instinct.
