| Hi all,
while starting to study the by-everyone-suggested full Tcat pdf version for Security+, I was wondering what level of knowledge of Linux/Unix is required, and the same for C or web programming skills.
The other suggested book, reading some previous threads seems the Syngress, am I correct? What would you suggest to study in the latter ?
Thanks in advance. | |

| if u know basic bout linux and programming... it sure helps... but if u don;t then don;t stress too much about it.. i think u will only get 1-2 Q on that...
Yes Syngress book is ok, TCAT's book should be good.. and CBT Nugget is great too if u have money to spend... good luck

| Geez 117wik - U took the words right out of my mouth
I would add - even if you don't have the money SPEND. The cost of the resources really is not that bad compared to the price of the exam, and reading through here you will find far too many of us who missed it first time around
