Troytec/Teskiller went bankrupt but got rebought. It's the same as tesking there is about 192 questions and there will be about 10 - 20% on the exam. Yes brain dumps are a chaeting way and the only way you will know secuirty is by hands on. I believe at looking at a study guide the night before so you don't get a D so to speak. Trust me I flushed 450 down the toliet and i don't want to do it again. And I have a good knowledge of secuirty and policies...........

I had someone share a copy of Troytec with me when I was getting ready for my Net+.

It was good as far as questions go, and everything helps... repetition IS learning.

May I add hands on is still the best teacher.

No I did not cheat. I read many books, sat in on an instructor lead course, which offered labs and simulations. I also was able to get some actual hands on experience which I am still exposed to. I mean honestly, how would one really know what a MAU was as well as patch cables without that?

I worked hard, and studied hard. Experience is still the best teacher. Like I said Repetiton IS learning. Any exposure is a good thing.

I suppose testing sims are a form of cheating then too? Or perhaps study guides with questions and answers are as well?

Cheating...I believe not....just learning.

net_grl has a point!!!

Damn I flushed so much down the toilet over Comptia exams I have five of them now and they can't even reply back to my e-mails. It shows what kind of company they are. I got a hold of Microsoft when I needed my updated MCSE document is comptia so impossible!! I'm jumping of subject here

If you have to look at a dump or study guide the day before an exam I think ever body should have a right, because when you have to sit there at work and perform a function and you can't then that will show what kind of skills you truly have!!

It's all about hands on!! The certs are just a piece of paper some of the smartest people I have seen in the field have no certs or a degree.... I guess its all how you look at it.

I have had a look at troytecs before. Not very good at all. As the others say, study, study, study and plenty of hands on, whatever the certification.

Besides....troytecs are outdated anyway, for the moment....
