Author NTFS/Share Permissions

Thought I was ready for the 70-290 but was floored by the NTFS/Share
permissions questions. I understand and use the permissions just fine
at work but am obviously lousy at the test questions

Any recommendations, study tips, to help with the test question about
permissions? Besides studying I've resolved to taking the practice
tests a hunderd times over to become a skilled test taker. Curious if
others have found other sites, books, tricks, tips to study/retain
the NTFS/Share material and or other subject areas :?:

Can it be that you tend to give too loose permissions? My opinion is that
Microsoft wants you to think security all the way, and you shall not
give users any rights they do not need. I found it rather simple.

but, I wonder why there were so many questions about Fax on the XP
exam (70-270).

NSS
go check the syllabus - that'll tell you why.

BTW if you want a different syllabus, go take another exam.

Yeah, I got floored by that one today... 65 qestions, 3.5 hours later and
$2200 in a course that didnt cover half the crap.

I dont know who is making the $$ here between VUE and MS but I know one
thing for sure, I can do it in the real world even if I cant decrypt the
Microsoft exam.

Granted the 4.0 certs were giveaways..... seems they've taken that to
another extreme.

But whats the difference anymore help desk pays about as much as mcse
