I need a bit of assistance please

How would I set up the following Exchange 2000 set-up and installation.

I have exchange 5.5 on a server that's being used across 2 domains, as in
5.5 you have the Exchange on the one server and attach the mailbox to the
primary user account in the AD on either domain.

I have 2 domains, 1 is sales where the exchange 5.5 server is, with its own
AD and the other is admin which also has its own AD, Admin is linked to
sales by a fibre.

Everything is working perfectly

There is one way trust between admin and sales (how would I alter this).

I want to set-up Exchange 2000 across these two domains how do I do it, as I
see that Exchange 2000 mounts with a AD... so if there are 2 AD's how would
I go about this..?

Any assistance or links would be appreciated, as in the textbooks they only
speak about installation on 1 Active Directory.

Thanks

Mike

Blaze,

I am in the process of upgrading to Exchange 2000 from Exchange 5.5,
and its quite involved. You have to choose from which method of 3
that you will use. 1. In place, 2. Swing method, 3. Move Mailbox
method. I would recommend the move mailbox method as you can
peice-meal everyone over without disruption, then their are AD
connectors you need in place, then you have to change your port config
(I think from 389, which is the LDAP default to 390) so wont conflict.
There are just too much to say in an email. When I get back to work
on Monday, will send you a link to all the KB Articles I'm using.
Maybe we can trade notes while doing these upgrades. Thanks, good
luck.

Mike.
