I am thinking of pursuing a Network+ cert but I question its worthiness and
value to employers.

Also how difficult is this exam? How does it compare to the A+ , in terms of
difficulty? I thought the A+ was extremely easy.

I can't tell you how most employers value the Network+. I took it to use an
an elective for the MCSA that I'm working on. I found the test quite a bit
harder than the A+. However, from some of the feedback I've seen on the new
2003 objectives test, A+ has caught up.

Network+ is much tougher than the old A+ (new A+ has caught up). This exam
hasn't had a lot of press and probably isn't well known to many employers.
It does however work into Microsoft and Novell certification paths and is
well respected as the basic networking certifications by those familiar with
it.

Being a CompTIA exam, you never have to worry about the certification
expiring (a big plus) and it should become better known thanks to both MS
and Novell. It does cost more to take the exam though.

Hope this helps,

I personally found the Network+ exam to be quite easier than the old
A+, but it's because I'm more interested in Networks than
hardware/software that A+ covers.
