| This comes from the Transcender.
After power failure, you restart the servers. You learn that some
users cannot open their mailboxes. You learn that all affected user
mailboxes reside in the same store. That mailbox store proves to be in
a inconsistent state and will not mount. You need to repair the
inconsistencies while minimizing possible data loss. During the power
outage the relevant transaction logs have been lost.
Which of the following should you run (Select 2 choices)
a. ISINTEG -fix
b. ESEUTIL /P
c. ESEUTIL /ML
d. ISINTEG -patch
e. ESEUTIL /D
f. ESEUTIL /R
The Transcender answer is b. and f. but I have seen elsewhere a. and
b.
Which is correct?

| How about you actually going to an Exchange Server, open up a DOS screen and
type:
C:\Eseutil.exe /?
or
C:\Isinteg.exe /?

| A good place to start for this sort of thing is:
www.microsoft.com/exchange
locate the disaster recovery white paper and try not to fall asleep as
you read the 100+ pages. White papers are a rich vein used by
Microsoft in MCP exams
Also, get technet (or borrow) tech training there's a really good on
on E2K DR.
The MS Press Self Study isnt that strong here
my favourite option is
www.google.com/microsoft
enter a query like ESEUTIL +"Exchange 2000"
the top link takes you here:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/tr...rt/exctopkb.asp
read the eseutil article and apply the same logic to ISINTEG and
read "Q240202 Running Isinteg -patch Is Not Needed in Exchange 2000
Server"
http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...Q240202&sd=tech
you'll be well away
