Author Should I go for MCSE?

I am thinking about a career change and am interested in the I.T. field. I'm
considering the MCSE. I do not have an I.T. background. Would this be a good
move? Would I be able to find a job with just a MCSE? Thanks for any advice.

this has got to be a troll post...

lay offs in the last 2 years were IT/CIS and telecom
manufacturing/installations.

Try for the MCSA first, then you can always move on to the MCSE, good luck!

It depends in which field of IT would you like to go - There are lots
of totally unrlated career paths in the field of IT. viz.- Animation
and Multimedia, Software Development, Hardware Technician, Network
Administrator, Web Designer, and many more.

First choose your path, then only decide which certification is better
for you?

Steffi,

Wow, a great collection of job titles all in demand. Five years ago
that is. Chuck, don't invest a penny in a career IT/IS centered. Go
into the medical field where you have direct physical contact with
patients, like a knife in one hand and a tumor in the other.

Like everything else, the medical industry will be outsourced; just it
will be one of the last to go.
