I passes XP Pro exam this morning and noticed something different at the
end. There was no score just pass / fail. Is this MS new way of giving
exam feed back?

I am used to the the old NT exams and scoring.

Does anyone have any insight as to why they no longer display a score?

Thanks!

Congratulations on your pass!

As per the grading, I know that when I passed the 70-240 there was no grade
listed, and I seem to recall something about Microsoft saying at that time,
they were thinking about cutting out grading for all exams and just having
either Pass or Fail - but I can't remember exactly how it went.

I've passed 3 since June, and they have all been pass/fail.

It's the way now.

I believe the pass/fail strategy is introduced since the first 2000 exam
(70-240). It already exists some time.

Pass/Fail is supposed to be a way to deter braindumps.

Would you really be happy to know you've just scrapped through in an exam ?

Imagine going to an employee who wanted MCP experience of SQL 2000 and you
passed with 66% and the passmake was 65%, that's still 34% of the topic that
you mucked up on.

Ignorance is bliss!

And also, would you want a score so if you go to an interview and they ask
you what your score was, you say 700 but they say the other person says they
had an 800 and they hire the other person based only on the fact that he got
a higher score not knowing that your question set might have been twice as
hard?
