| Rodert -
Thanks for the encouragement. I've taken the Core 4 MCSE + 2126 (NetMgt)
courses, but no tests yet. I've been pondering which to take first - if 218
is not such a killer as some of the others, it might be good to get it out
of the way, since I'm primarily interested in MCSA first - (A+/N+) as
electives - then MCSE.

| That's nice to hear since my next test is the 70-218. What resources did
you use to study for it?

The 218 I took on Aug 1 was by far the hardest of the 13 MS exams I have
taken. My exam was literally on 4 areas only: DNS, GPO, DNS, OU
Administration, DNS, RRAS Dial-up with Win9x clients and DNS. Did I mention
they tested me on my DNS knowledge?
I had 0 questions on VPN, subnetting, Terminal Server, DHCP or WINS. Unless
one of those topics delt with OU Admin or DNS issues it wasn't tested.
If you had taken my blood pressure after that exam I think I would have been
in the stroke-out range. I have 28 years experience in this industry and
2.75 years working almost exclusively with W2K networks (one NetWare 5.1
server left).

did it have?

My understanding is none of the MS exams are now adaptive.

| Yea, I passed it a couple of weeks ago. I felt it was harder to sit in the
same seat for the period I was there, than to answer the questions.

TestKing=Braindump! You've cheated yourself and make the rest of us valid MCSE's look bad.
Of course you'd say it was very very easy. You read the questions and answers before you took it!
