FTP Service in WIn XP Pro?
|
|
|
| Hello all. I am only an MCP at the moment. I have a client that has just leased a copy machine that
scans and emails and does all that OCR stuff. They need me to configure their file server (Win XP
Pro) to run the FTP service and install a client on all of the users workstations. Am I nuts or is
FTP not available with XP Pro? I cannot find it anywhere.Wasnt it available on Win NT and 2000
Server? Am I going to have to install WIn 2000 Server to accomplish this task?
Also, they want the copy machine to connect VIA FTP. How do I go about that?
Thanks so much
Tony

[ SNIP message with long lines. ]
A bit of advice: A lot of news readers don't display anything past the
80 character of a line. To allow for quoting, etc, a line length of
about 72 characters seems to work well.
Its your choice to impliment this if you want to. However, when seeking
a question from usenet, I find it helpful to have a message that is
readable on every news reader.
Just my $.02,
