From BBC....
In 1995, on the back of the huge popularity of its browser, Netscape had one
of the most successful debuts ever on the US stock market.
But by the end of 1998 the company was suffering partly because Microsoft
was heavily promoting its own Internet Explorer browser that is included,
and integrated, with Windows.
Now Internet Explorer commands 96% of the net browsing market.

| heh heh - can't say that I will miss it. Every new release I try it hoping
it has improved and every time I end up saying 'never again'.

| There are some companies who dont trust IE, or even if they do, dont want
to spend the time and effort on IE security updates.
