According to you:

I am an Idiot.

I am wrong about everything.

You know more about the USA than I do (and everyone else on this
newsgroups for that matter)

You know more about the bombing of London that people who were there and
lived through it.

Hitler's demise was not at all due to running out of fuel or his lack of
common sense and wisdom.

The Germans attacked Russia and started the Battle of the Bulge on a 95
degree summer day

And on and on.

Well, Billy one think really surprises me! How in the hell did you get
so damned knowledgeable about the rest of the world while being a
displaced Brit in Africa. Another is how you can sit down being that
you are all XXXXXXX and, Finally, how you have kept from wearing out
your lips because you never shut up and frankly, YOU SUCK!

Bye the way, I do wish that they had kept my parents from multiplying
because at least that way, we would not have had anything common. You
need to listen to the speech that your own Tony Blair gave to our
Congress today - Now there is a real Brit and a great leader as well!

The Battle of the Bulge lasted from December 16, 1944 to January 28, 1945

I might add that the winter of the Battle of the Bulge was one of the
most severe in the history of the area. My uncle who was in the
Ardennes (Spelling) with the engineers lumbering at the onset, talked
about snow so deep that you could not walk through it and temperatures
causing severe frostbite and other cold related injuries.

I might also add that (based on actual observation) the first thing that
the Germans tried to Seize was GASOLINE from any vehicle that they could
find.

London was bombed, yes. It was not carpet bombed. I'm just being picky
that's all.

Running out of fuel was a large problem for the Germans but certainly wasn't
the only one. Fighting on two fronts was a bad idea. If you want to credit
anything for defeating the Germans, don't forget to include the lack of
infrastructure in the Soviet Union. Had the Soviets the same kind of vast
road system the French had, German supply vehicles would have never gotten
bogged down in the mud.

Now, in my opinion, the real reason the Germans lost was the way they
treated the people in the countries they occupied. When they invaded the
Soviet Union, the people there were celebrating. These people had been
living under Soviet oppression. If the Germans had treated them fairly and
said "Take up arms against your former oppressors", they could have had a
lot of support in occupying Russia. Instead, the Germans treated them just
as bad as the Soviets, if not worse.

Also, the German war machine didn't hit it's peak until 1943, 4 years into
the war. Had Hitler stuck to his original plan of invading in 1945, Europe
could very well be called Germania right now.

I guess I have to agree with him being an idiot.
