Administritive privaleges

| Hi,
We have a windows 2000 network set up at work. Every user is a power user.
Our problem lies in that when trying to use scanners, pen drives and other
usb products they only work under the administrator account. We have tried
making the user an administrator on the domain, installing the product which
then works fine. As soon as you take the administritive privaleges off the
user, the devices stop working with all kinds of errors, relating to
registry problems, and not being able to find the devices.
Any body come accross issues like this? Making the users administrators is
not an option for us.
Thanks in advance.

| Sounds like cheap products and cheap programming of the device.

| So add the needed privileges to the power user account.

| The users on our system are quite restricted in what they are allowed to do.
They are NOT Powerl Users and have very little privelages - USB pen drives
work fine for them. I think the USB scanners we use are ok too.
