I was given a free voucher to take the Server+ exam, I passed in about
35 minutes. I've been working in IT for over 4 years. The exam is
direct and to the point. I think it would be a hard test to study for
without at least some experience working in a server room. A lot of
the answers just jumped out at me, some took some thought. If your
just starting out in the certification world I would make sure you had
you're A+ before this test. Know: all your SCSI standards and speeds,
backups, SNMP, RAID standards.
Some of the test answers were almost funny.
There was one question about a water pipe busting and flooding the
server room, one of the answers talked about monitoring software to
notify you of flooding. That one was funny to me.
A+, N+, I-Net+, Server+, MCSA, CCA
