CompTIA towards MCSE or MCSA?

| I read that the CompTIA A+ and Network+ count as an elective towards the
MCSA. Does this also apply to the MCSE? I am getting ready to start on the
MS tests and already have the CompTIA certs (and ~9 years previous IT
experience).

| No, A+ and Network+ do not count towards the MCSE.

| Sorry but you are not correct.
Here is the link to the Microsoft web site with the relevant comptia exam
info, and how it can count towards your MCSE

| CompTIA for MCSE is only the Security+, not A+ or Network+.

| But does it count towards MCSA? I have my A+ and MCP certification, if I
took
the Network+ exam would I then be MCSA? Right now I am just debating about
what road I am going to take. Right now I plan on studying for Novell 5
(for the Hell
of it!), Cisco for the CCNA, and I am considering Network+ if it would get
me MCSA.

CNE 5 would entail 6 CNE5 exams plus the CNE5-6 upgrade, which needs to
be done by Oct 31st.
CNE6 is 5 exams.
Stuart.
