Hi,

I am getting problems with my Windows XP computer. I can't seem to log off
or shutdown the computer. I always have to goto switch user, then turn off.

Anyone know how to resolve this problem?

Cheers

I checked that, and i was in there.

However, the problem is not that i can't see the shutdown function it is
that it doesn't do anything when i click on it.

ie. I click on the start menu, then log off, or turn off, and then get my
little window with my options of log off, turn off or switch user. The only
one that does anything when i click on it is switch user. The others when i
click on them just do nothing.

Please can anyone help??

Thanks

this seems unrelated but in power manegement theres settings for what
happens when you press a button on the case. maybe it has something for the
button on the screen.(highly doubt it but wroth a shot).make sure you look
in the help files microsoft gives you (lots of people overlook checking
there, beats me why it sometimes has the answer)
