Hi hope someone can answer this.

scenario. a smal network without a server. intenetconnection is ADSL
,
the machines are hooked up via a switch. OS is Windows XP prof.

the machines are supposed to go on the internet as seperat machines, but
also set up as a peer to peer network with printersharing etch.

the instructions in XP is easy to follow however they dont communicate, it
comes up with a error. I have the idea that I have to disable the XP
firewall, which it sets automaticely on this kind of connection.

can anyone confirm that or give me other input what to do so it will work.

best regards bener

Disable the firewall client and get a real one connected after the DSL modem
coming in to the LAN. Try the Cisco PIX 501 for only $450 in most cases
online.
