| I am aware that xp home edition will not recognize a domain. Is there a way
to modify or create a login script anyway? I really need to join this pc to
the domain. I just can't help but think it can be done.
BTW why would Microsoft disable this feature????
Thanks,
Kyle

Because if they didn't, all the corporate customers would buy XP Home rather
than XP Pro, which costs much more. Pure marketing bastardry, no more, no
less.

| More corporate BS hugh? I would be better off installing 98 and forging
ahead.
Thanks for your comments

| Or maybe MS didn't want to overcharge the home user for functionality they
don't require. 2 sides to every story.

| The only thing that you ca do is configure the XP home edition to join a
workgroup with the same name as your domain name.....then when you try to
access any domain recurse it will ask you for a domanin user/password....if
you provide a valid domai user/pass you will be able to use the domain
recurse.
