| Has anyone taken any of the courses (MCSA, MCSE) through New Horizons and,
if so, what do you think of them? I've passed the A+ and Net+, am taking
classes at a tech college for the MCSE, but not satisfied with that. Not
enough "hands on" experience and feel I'm headed for a paper cert.
I'm given to understand at New Horizons, I will receive hands on training
and that they are affiliated with many large companies in the city where I
may receive an internship. Any advice would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
LeAnne

| Stick with the tech college, New Horizons is all about your money and
getting it out of your pocket. They are way to expensive....Just my 2cents.

| I have taken courses 2151 & 2152 at New Horizons and feel that it was a good
experience, but those two courses were over $3000, so I cannot go that route
on my own again. If you can get the get your employer to foot the bill go
for it. If not stick with the tech school and get the MCSE training kit and
some hardware and set up your own network and supplement your hands on that
way.
Best of luck!

| Well, I've certainly got to watch my step and get anything signed and in
writing. Hubby and I read a lot of what is on the site you sent, below, and
seems there are good and bad stories. I've visited the Atlanta campus and,
from the look of things, they seem to have it "together", so to speak.
Looks can be deceiving, however, and I'm not wishing to go into this
blindly. So, I'll do some more digging to check the quality of all the
rep's statements to me about the school to see if it pans out regarding the
companies he says they're affiliated with, and try to "nab" a few students
who may be taking a break between classes to get their take on it all.
Thank you all for your input, and will let you know what I find out/how it
turns out.
