I am trying to do MCSE. I am doing self study, since I can not to pay
tuition at time. I passed 210 and 215. Today I took 216, which I did not
pass. I don't how bad I did since there wasn't score. Other then that you
did not pass the exam. As I learned from exam 216 is really a difficult
exam. Therefore I decided to take this one may at the last.

My question is, if anyone who can advice me in what sequence I should take
exams. I would like to take easy one first then tackle the difficult one. I
would thanks in advance for help.

Following I have taken already,
70-210 (pass)
70-215 (pass)
70-216 (fail)

Following still need to take,
70-217
70-218
70-221

I know there are only six. I have not decide which should I choose for exam
number sever. If you can advice on that one also. I would be very grateful
..

I would take 218, then look into pursuing the others. 216, 217, and 221 will depend a lot more on your actual experience than 210, 215 and 218. If you do not have experience with the technologies, take a step back, set up a good lab environment and work along with some study guides and read some case studies.

216 is supposed to be the hardest exam for W2K. Most seem to leave that one for close to last.

As for the seventh exam, taking CompTIAs Security+ as an elective is probably the easier, but more expensive route. 224 would arguably be the most useful in terms of skill set, but is up there in terms of difficulty. Anything else is probably right there in the middle.

get your MCSA

then take 70-292

this will upgrade you to MCSA 2003

then take a step back and have a long look at MCSE

good luck

You've already started work for 70-216 - Finish it!
If you don't you will end up wasting even more time. By the time you come
to study for the exam again the material will no longer be fresh in your
mind. In my opinion it will also make the exam much harder to take when you
finally come round to it again. Put your first attempt down to experience
and study hard for the next attempt. Also, the there are few good books for
70-216. I would recommend reading a different book - This will be more
interesting than revising through your current book and may provide better
explanations. The MS Press Book I read for this exam was awful - Full of
mistakes and did not cover nearly enough information. I also used an
OSBORNE book for this exam which was better.
I've taken the following MCP's
70-210 - Pass
70-215 - Pass
70-216 - Pass
70-217 - *Exam booked for next week*

I plan on taking 70-228 and 70-229 for a MCDBA cert and haven't decided on a
design exam yet. I will think about upgrading to 2003 server after I have
my full MCSE.
