Our company is trying to get their MSCP for 2004. I have been a
network admin for about 6 years. I have implemented and
administrated pretty much all microsoft software in our organization.
I took a couple of exams several years ago and was certified, since
then it has expired. Can anybody recommend an easy test and suggest
what to use to study. I am pretty good at all the MS products but, a
master at none. Your advice is greatly apprieciated.

Thanks,
Josh

How do you think you would enjoy taking driving lessons again? What about
taking your driving exam again? Would you find that easy because you have
experience (I took that example because I think you have your driving
licence)

Learning in details a matter that you already know and practice is not easy.
In fact it's painful. My advice would be to learn something that you don't
know.

You can take a look at www.cramsession.com for a review of certifications.
It's a good reference to know if a cert is difficult or not, and if it's
recognized or not.

I have to disagree with you about the painful part. I was in classes
recently with people that knew very little about computers and Windows,
while I had years of experience supporting computers in a large corporation.
The inexperienced people had a rough time of it, while I was able to breeze
through it and gain some great knowledge about details I had never been
introduced to before. I also learned about some tools I didn't even know
were there. Parts were boring where we went over things I already knew, but
then I was useful to the others in the class as a resource. Security
knowledge is always a good thing to have, and desirable in industry.

Perhaps our disagreement is a difference in personalities.
