I just passed my last exam for MCSE 2K, I passed 70-227 - ISA this morning.
Now it is time to start on Windows 2003 certification!!! I was looking at
the Comptia certification in the mean time, after doing MCSE are these
certifications looked down upon? I am a network technician with 4 years
experience and the following qualifications:

CCA, MCP, MCSA, MCSE

are things like A+, Network+ etc just mickey mouse stuff in comparison to
MCSE? should I not waste my time with A+ and look more at the new MS MCDST
instead?

Thanks for any advice

Jeff

Congratulations Jeff!

I hope the info I sent through helped. I passed 227 on Monday to add the
":Security" tag to my MCSE.

What to do now... that too is my dilemma, personnally I'm going to do 292
and 296 to upgrade to MCSE 2003.

Good luck whatever you decide to do.

if your company is paying, then do it.
never pay out of pocket for these certs.
what are your goals? try to move up in the company you are in. they will
provide the necessary experience for your next cert.
getting your A+ and Network + would look nice if you were downgrading to
work as a pc repair tech at Best Buy.
i used to like seeing alphabet soup certs, but it gets embarrassing when you
see them applying for assembly jobs at factories.

when i was a network tech, i made $20/hour + OT.
when i was promoted and trained as a non-cert network engineer, i made $60k
annually (salaried).
now that i have my A+/MCP/MCSA/MCSE/CCNA, i make $12/hour.

sad but true.
