Hi,

Can anyone help me with this setting up and IPSec VPN to a Netgear FVS318
using either Windows 2000 Server or Windows XP Pro.

I tried on a few computers, i get a constant message saying 'Netgotiating
IP Security'. I set it up as per Netgear Instructions, but not much luck
realy.

I'm using MD5 / 3DES with a pre-shared key.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Denis

No worldshaking ideas, just things that might be overlooked -
The right user account with the right credentials on each end of the
VPN
Typo in the pre-shared key -you've probably eliminated that, but a
typo is by definition,
a mistake you don't know you made.
Missing certificates.
Netgear's instructions or requirements somehow conflicting with MS's
instructions or requirements.
Misconfigured ports
Protocols - are you using L2TP or IPSEC alone?

there is a specific problem or two (which i've forgotten) that can
bring up this message, so try a search through MS/s site.
good luck
mike
