QOD for September 2nd 2003

| Robert has been unable to make a connection to one of the file servers on
the network all day. He can ping the server, but cannot make a useful
connection to it. You know that George, one of the administrators, was
looking at increasing security between computers on the network. What could
be the reason that the connection cannot be made?
1.. The server is offline.
2.. The server is configured for a higher minimum SMB signing level than
the client and thus is refusing the connection.
3.. The TCP/IP stack on the server is corrupted.
4.. The DNS cache on the client computer needs to be flushed.
The answer comes tomorrow at...
