| Hey, I have a question
I am going to take my MCSE cert, and I know I have to take 7 tests...5 core
and 2 electives, well, when you take your 1st core test, i.e Windows 2000
Server, you become MCP certified....Do they send you a certifcation for
that? for all tests? basically..when u take each test..do they send u a
certification or a piece of paper to frame to show you passed it.. if
so..all 7?? how does this work?

| Leonard,
I know when I got my MCP for passing the NT 4.0 exams I did get a
certificate for being an MCP. Other than that all you get is your test
results from your testing center, until you get your MCSE and you get a
certificate for that also.
That being said I've recently passed the 2000 Pro and Server exams and
didn't get anything from MS reguarding a MCP for 2000 or whatnot.

| That may be because you already had achieved your MCP. I recently =
passed my first exam in Win2k Server and just received my MCP =
certificate, wallet card and pin this week. I am pursuing my MCBDA and =
will probably eventually complete the MCSE as well. I would expect =
after you complete whichever designation you're seeking, you receive an =
new wallet card and certificate.

| Yes, you get a cert in the mail for your first exam (MCP). After that you
don't get any until you pass the full qual you're going for (MCSA, MCSE,
MCDBA etc.)
