USB scanner problem
|
|
|
| I just installed W2k Prof. in my Plll but after the installation my USB
scanner which was working fine in w98, does not work again. In fact the pc
does not detect it when I power it(pc) on.
What could be the problem and how can I solve it?
Thanks

| I think the problem lies somewhere between the chair and the keyboard...

| I ran into this problem with a Win2K upgrade project I did. I'm betting the
scanner in question is an HP Scanjet series. If so go to HP's web site and
there is a USB Patch that you can download for Win2K USB Support. If youve
installed the Win2K driver
uninstall it prior to installing the USB patch. Install the Patch and The
reinstall the Win2K driver and you should be up and running or scanning .
