I was just curious as to how long it took people in here to finally become
MCSE certified. I am about to begin my studies, and am wondering how long I
should expect to be studying for.

some turn an exam in around a week to a month. That's a good average for
those who do concentrative work (1 week), and those who take their time (1
month).

Cut the crap, it all depends on how much you are willing to study!! and how
much pratical experience you currently have.

I allow 1-3 months for each exams and go over all the requirements in each
exam to the best you can!! and go beyond...

Good Luck,

Andy

A lot would depend on you experience, how much time you are prepared to devote
to studying etc. If you have limited experience with the OS then you would need
more prep/study time than someone who has been working/using/configuring it
since it's release.

Depending on the exam and it's content I might spend one month or more of
preparation. For 70-210 and 70-215 I was studying for both at much the same time
but concentrating more on 70-210 as exam time got closer. On work days I was
spending maybe 3-5 hours of studying/practicing. On weekends I'd spend several
hours each day. I'm on four weeks leave at the moment and did 70-210 on the
first day of leave, then spent about 12 hours for the next seven days
studying/practicing for 70-215 (passed it yesterday in spite of an electrician
cutting power to the test centre (and their server's UPS failing) when I was at
question 22, having to restart and then have the machine lock up at question 4
and having the test centre manager rebooting the PC. The second time it resumed
the test at the same point and I was able to successfully complete the test.

I'm now going to spend the last 2.5 weeks of my holidays studying/practicing for
70-216 and hopefully do it before I go back to work. Once I'm back at work I'll
probably average one exam every 1-3 months (I'm going back to a major
infrastructure refresh (PC's, thin clients, switches, Voice over IP) that more
or less starts the day I get back...
