| I have some .avi video files that I want to archive to CD but some are very
long i.e. 700mb +. Does anyone know what the most efficient coding mechanism
is in terms of minimum file size? I know of Mpeg, WMA, but don't know which
is the smallest or if there are any others.
TIA

| if they are about 700Mb they will probly already be Divx4, im guessing they
are dvdrips. the only way to make them smaller is to record in a lower
resolution. However have u tried 90min cd's with your writer, it allows for
alot more info and works with most writers, i can usually get 710Mb on a
700Mb cd if i enable overburn. If u try and it fails try a slower write
speed (10x).
