| The questions where similar to Sybex Study Guide and I felt well prepared
and confident.
I had 145 minutes to complete the survey and exam. For the exam itself I had
120 minutes. 50 Questions and the passing score was 540/1000.
I finished in an hour and scored 880

Thats quite a low passing score. Does anyone fail this test?

Yes, those that do not get above a 540. ;-)
In all seriousness, the exam is entry level and not designed to be too
difficult. If you have studied the material you will do fine. Now, 216
on the other hand, is a bear, and many people fail it, some even
repeatedly!

| that's a wide range of people to pass. 210 is the Windows 2000 exam
correct? (I just know the exams don't assosiate them with numbers yet lol
I'll learn
If this is the W2K Pro exam we're talking about I heard that is about the
hardest even harder than Server (which I cannot imagine as I am on Server
now and I have not taken 2K Pro yet but by the time I'm done with Server I
hope to be well prepared already for 2K Pro lol)

If you use windows 2000 Pro you should find 210 dead easy. I think I only
got two questions wrong.

Not necessarily so, not many average users are fluent with RIS,
unattended installs, or even the min hardware requirements, just to name
a few. Most are familiar with using the GUI, but know little about the
command line or the enterprise usages and tricks inherent to the OS.

Must be honest, I am not good at remembering things like minimum
processor and memory requirments etc. I have always figured you
look up those kind of things if you need to know it, luckily I never
got any questions on that, the closest type of questions I had
were on the vein of if you dual boot Win2k and 98 , what partition
format type would use so both OS's can read the data, etc.
Cheers

I hate questions that I've seen like "What feature handles the setup of
remote access to outside networks?"
A) Internet Connection Wizard
B) Internet Configuration Wizard
C) Internet Connection Walkthru
D) None of the Above
Who gives a flip WHAT the title of the dialog is, so long as you know
how to use it?
I also find arcane the questions about precisely where you click through
to find a checkbox nested about five levels deep in dialogs. Most of
us don't memorize EXACTLY *where* an item is, but we know that it's
there, and what it does. I can find it simply by "knowing the road",
i.e. I know that Bindings is under Protocols in My Network Places, but I
couldn't recite to you by rote precisely where it is.... but I'll know
it when I see it, and won't have to "back up" to "ask for directions".
I navigate Windows the way I navigate in my car -- by the seat of my
pants, so it would seem -- and it works well, as I almost never get
lost.

Try it with someone on the telephone...try it with someone on the
telephone who will not help you by reading to you what is on the
screen, who demands that you take them by the hand and choose each and
every step with no help.

Almost as bad as those on this forum who feel you evaluate people's

Best not bring that up again.
