| hi all
I have a network of 2 computers, 1 xp and the other w2k
The xp machine sees the w2k machine and the shared folders and accesses
them while the w2k sees the xp machine and the shared folders but cannot
access the shared folders. Why?
I log on as the Adim. and the 2 pcs are connected with a hub 10/100
Any help?
Thanks

| Hi Henry,
Are both workstations members of the same workgroup?
They need to be.
Are you using the same account name and password on each workstation?
Once you have both machines in the same workgroup, add any different
user account you may have on the share permissions.
Hope this points you in the right direction.
Good Luck,

| That problem can occur if you don't sign into the share with the full UNC ie
robert@comp1.
(it appears like tha tif you are in a workgroup)
this normally works for me on my network.. although you cold just give
everyone full ontrol on your internal netowrk on the XP machine..
