Windows 2000 includes an APM solution based on the APM 1.2 specification.
Windows 2000 native support includes only Suspend, Resume, Battery
Indicator, and Off (that is, the operating system will power off the system
when shut down or hibernate completes). Support is not implemented for other
APM BIOS calls.

bit tricky this 1, becuz it does actually say that it includes hibernate,
and i know it does becuz if u go in control panel then click on power
options, it gives me the choise to setup hibernate.

wotta ya think about that?

The real trick is finding it. Google Microsoft works better than MS's own
search engine. Even so, you need a good key word or two. Without good,
unique keywords you often get far too many hits. If anyone has any search
tips and tricks, i'd like to hear them.

Eek, mostly I think that I do not like this question.

however --

"To further complicate things Windows 2000 implements hibernation itself
without using the support of either APM or ACPI. "
