Windows 2000 Loss of Connection
|
|
|
| I have recently started to migrate my office pc's to windows 2000,
which I think has many favourable aspects over NT 4.
I have however been having problems with my internet connection. It is
a shared leased line of 128k, so bandwidth is not a problem. When
surfing the net it will bring up DNS errors, just like there is no
server. I have phoned my line supplier and they say there are no
faults on the line, however i have noticed it is only happenign on
those pcs that have been upgraded to 2000. I have run out of ideas, so
any theories on why it is happening or sollutions would be gratefully
recieved.

Sounds like client DNS configuration errors or a need to upgrade the
browsers.
