Dear all

I know that it is a bit of topic, but I'm looking for study material for the
CISSP exam.

Regards

There is a free 40-questions CISSP practice exam on http://www.cert21.com
You can also download free CISSP exam notes from that site, all you have to
do is register as a member, the registration is free.

There is also an active CISSP forum here:

Hi Major Tom:

From what I read, there are two "must have" books for this exam: S. Rao and
Devi Vallabhaneni's "CISSP Examination Textbooks Volume 2: Practice," Second
Edition (SRV Professional Publications, 2002) and Shon Harris' "All-in-One
CISSP Certification" (McGraw-Hill, 2002). In addition, you may wish to buy
the practice tests available at http://www.boson.com/ ($29.95 per practice
exam) and access the free exam questions at http://www.cccure.org/ before
you tackle the actual exam. Finally, it may be wise to subscribe to the
CISSP discussion group (e.g., CISSP-Discuss-subscribe@yahoogroups.com ).

Good luck!

Tony

Must haves.....
The CISSP Prep Guide - Krutz
Information Security Management Handbook - Tipton (buy the edition on cd
has extra articles etc. about $30)
look on bestbookbuys.com isbn - 0849312345

I've heard many mixed reviews concerning the SRV books - I chose to
stay away
I'm not sure about the Shon Harris book yet, but so far it seems good
there are some other sites like cissps.com
I've heard bosons questions are not as difficult as the real deal
definitely subsribe to a yahoogroup - one may be in your area that may have
meetings, studysessions etc

The Shon Harris book is full of grammatical crap, but you get a good
idea of the test knowledge from it, plus more.

The questions aren't necessarily difficult (I studied for four
months), but a tad disconcerting to move from Cryptography to another
CBK, then another, etc.

The Shon Harris book doesn't cover everything on the test; hit
cccure.org, and read every download available. That should cover it.
