| Hi,
I have already passed my A+ exam and am taking Network+ at the end of
January. Can someone please tell me what exam i would be best of taking
next? I was thinking maybe to become MCP qualified, then MCSA, then MSCE and
then carry on with Cisco and Novel exams. What would people recomend.
Also, what exams to you need to pass to become MCP / MCSA and MCSE
qualified?
Thanks
Denis

| So you got A+ and you figure to get your Network+, cool. All you need
for MCSA is three more exams.
70-210 Win2K Pro
70-215 Win2K Server
70-218 Win2K Network Managment
Then for MCSE you'll need:
70-216
70-217
a design elective and one more elective.
Rod
MCP, Network+
A+, Server+

| If you can't research what exams you will need on your own, don't bother
trying for MCSE, all it takes is a simple look at Microsofts MCP website.
Plus I will save you some money anyways, MCSE is a joke lately and laughed
at, go to school and get a degree in computer science if you serious about
IT, I learnt the hard way!

| What else do people think about the MCSE?
All the job adverts say you need it, and nowhere says anything about
computer science?

| It really depends on what role you want to take in the future. Most of the
management jobs require some sort of degree.

Denis,
This was the course I took getting certified. To help others dig
through what was needed, I put together a page (which later grew into
an entire site) to collect all the details. Take a look here for
information on how it all ties together:
http://www.SelfStudyCerts.com/10step/
Good luck!
