Wow, this test was a LOT more difficult than I was expecting. For the
Core four, I used Exam Cram and nothing else. Out of those, the only
one that I had trouble with was 70-216 Networking. I passed that
test, but I think it was real close. For this test (070-220), I read
the MS Press book (716 pages of reading, ISBN 0735611343). The book
was awesome and I especially appreciated the chapter on certificate
server. My only wish in hindsight is I wish I had done a lot more
supplement reading on business models and addressing company needs.
The entire test format was scenarios of a few pages. For each
scenario, it would ask several multiple choice questions, choose all
that apply, and drag and drop objects and connections. The difficulty
was that a LOT of the questions and answers were vague and you were
supposed to identify the correct answers that applied to the scenario.
One question would ask to choose the kind of logging to gather and
all the answers would be good, but you have to determine what the
organization needs. None of the questions really tested much of your
technical knowledge. As the test title suggests, it's all about
designing a network infrastructure. Luckily I passed with a 715 (675
minimum). Took me about 2 hours and 15 minutes. Towards the end, I
was contemplating bashing the 15" monitor.
