Hello guys,

I have the remote desktop installed on both win2k and xpserver.
Both PCs are connected using linksys router.
when I try to logon from win2k , I receive this error message:
"
You don 't have the proper encryption level to access this session"

when I try to connect from xp server I receive another error
" the client can not connect to the remote computer"

any help, thanks
Hamada

xp server? something iv missed?
have you instaled the service ?
try conecting by IP adress rather than by name, and make sure you are using
an administrator's details!!

Yep, it is xp server,
The service is already installed on xpserv , I installed the client service
on win2k from the xpserv cdrom.
I tried connecting using ip all the times , with no success

One more question can each pc, in my case, xpserv pc and win2k pc act as
host adn client?( not at the same time)?curiosity
Do oyuahve any web site that detail any information about remote desktop?
Imagine microsoft knowledge base does not contain the error messages I
mentionned below.
Thanks for your reply. and any more feed back is appreciated.

Let me make it easy, when I login into the domain with the administrator
passworg I got this messages:
"You don 't have the proper encryption level to access this session"
Clearly everything has been installed , and enabled the remote desktop on
xpserv.
thanks for your patience

on the win2k box.... did you install the service packs? maybe it has
something to do with 128 bit encryption which without the service pack win2k
does not have.
