MCSE+I certification
|
|
|
| Hi Guys,
I must have missed something.
Can anyone tell me what is reqd for MCSE+I cert?
The Microsoft site talks about NT4 and .net, but where does
it stand for 2000 and what is reqd for MCSE+I under .net?
I need a clear understanding about this because I am getting
hastled about it at work.
If anyone can shed some light, it would be much appreciated.
TIA.

| Thanks, but...
The second paragraph states:
MCSE+I on Microsoft Windows® NT 4.0 candidates are required to pass
seven operating system exams and two elective exams that provide a
valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise.
All exams listed are NT4.
This is the gray area. What about 2K and .net?
Appreciate the input though.

| There is no MCSE+I for 2K/.net
You could only get MCSE+I under the old NT4 stream. If you look at that
webpage you will note that most of the exams have retired (except for two
elective exams namely SQL 7 Admin and SQL 7 Design). So If you have already
done all the 7 core requirements, you just need to do those two SQL 7 exams
to get your MCSE+I. I believe Microsoft is still allowing this (well atleast
they did for me because it was in Janruary of this year that I completed my
last requirement for MCSE+I and managed to get the cert). For those of us
who have obtained that cert, we still get to keep this glorious title
bobwonky
MCSE+I(NT4), plus others...

| There is no more MCSE+I because Internet is included in the Windows 2000
MCSE track.
