Does anyone know what passing score is on 70-228 (Install/Admin SQL 2000)?

Also, can anyone offer any input on how the Transcenders rate for this test?

755 unless they've changed that in the last couple of months.

Harder than the real thing. I was getting 600's on the trannies and got 820
(a bit too close for comfort actually) on the real thing. If I had to do
that exam again I'd want 700's at least before feeling comfortable.

Good luck.

Well.. I answered my own question.. The Transcenders were virtually useless.
I was getting 900's on them and failed the exam yesterday. Transcender
questions were virtually useless, which surprised me since they've been
pretty useful in the past. Anyone know of better prep software?

20-228 is an odd one. It is the only test I failed the first time
around (missed by 10 points). Oddly, I went back three days later and
passed with about an 860.

Don't be too dejected from a failure on this test. I appears to have
some bad questions in the pool so there is a little bit of luck of the
draw in what you get.

You should have a feeling for what areas you were weak in. Go back
and study those areas for a few days and then take another stab at it.

Good luck!

Ack sorry seems I gave bum advice to you. Seems odd that I could score so
low on Transcenders and find them so much harder than the real thing and
pass and you could score so high on 'em and fail. Were you talking 900's
having already done the practice exam once or twice because that's not
really the same thing as getting 900 the first time round.

Either that or Delbert's right and it's just a dodgy test. Good luck on your
next attempt anyway.

Same thing happend to me on Thursday. I was scoring very well on the
Transcenders but managed to fail the real thing. What materials did you use
to prep for the test?

Thanks.
Rhonda

I used just the Sybex book. As a disclaimer, I've worked with MS SQL
since version 6.5, but that work usually wan't as a primary DBA.

The area I found on the test that I didn't feel well enough prepared
for was diagnosing the log file samples. Those just didn't feel right
most of the time.

I used the ExamCram book which have worked well for other tests. I also
have one from MS Press, which I didn't spend as much time with, but I guess
I will be now. I don't want to use the transcenders for 228 again, for two
reasons. One, they didn't seem very applicable to the test I took and two,
at this point, I'm sure I've memorized the answers. Has anyone used
Testking's test for 228?

Don't do it. It's not obvious but they use actual questions from the exams.
And this of course is cheating which devalues our and your certificate.

Ps. And yes I have checked a Test king against a braindump to make sure they
tally word for word (AFTER I took my exams I may add).

Hi !

Same situation for me.... 228 was me 6th exam (after
210-215-216-217-218).... but the first I have failed.... I use the same
study material for all exam... Sybex, MS, (+SQLBOL for 228), Hands on
experience and Transcender.... Transcender was always a good practice for my
previous exams.... but NOT for this one......
