I've been looking for a position for awhile and I haven't had much luck. So
have 8 years of experience with NT in large environments >100 servers. I
just passed my last test for MCSE 2K.

My question is how do I present my certification so that it doesn't look
like I'm green? Whenever I interview with someone, I tell them when I got
my MCSE and immediately they roll their eyes and I know they're thinking
FNG. Also when I fill out job apps, I put my MCSE down and the next
question is how many years of experience associated with cert. What do I
put there?

any suggestions would help.

Yep, this is an easy one. When you're in an interview and you mention that
you've got your MCSE... Roll your eyes and downplay the significance of the
MCSE before the employer gets the opportunity to do it.

When he/she sees that you fully understand that the MSCE is just a piece of
paper, and mainly just a way for the M$ Empire to bring in more revenue,
he/she will understand that you've got a good head on your shoulders and
that nothing gets by you.

Then tell them that you've got 15 years of experience with your MCSE. If
they believe you and don't check into it (And see that the MCSE hasn't even
been around that long), then they'll think you have a shitload of experience
and give you the job.

If they check into it (Or just know enough to see that you're full of shit)
and see that you're lying, then they'll probably still hire you because
people like hard-nosed employees that will do whatever it takes to move up
the ladder and earn more money.

One more piece of free advice... Openly admit that you'd XXXX over your
grandma to earn an extra $50... Employees like to see that you've got your
priorities in check.

Anymore questions, just ask... I'm here to help.
