| Hi
I wonder if someone can help me.
I've been working in tech support for about 2 years now and I've decided
that getting an MCP would be beneficial to my career.
I've contacted my local college that provides Microsoft Certification
courses, but when I inquired about doing the 70-210 course, the guy told me
that the course they provide is called "Supporting Windows 2000 Professional
& Server" even though they advertise the courses as 70-210, 215 etc.
I've looked at the MS site and couldn't find this "Supporting Windows 2000
Professional & Server" course anywhere. Does anyone know what this course
is? Does this course provide the same content as the 70-210?
Any help would be most welcome
Regards

| Often companies will bundle the 70-210 and 70-215 material together since
there is a lot of overlap. Rather than having one class that focuses on
each, they'll have one (or two classes) that focus on both. I remember with
NT 4.0 track that was actually how Microsoft did it with the MOC where both
the 803 and 922 classes prepared you for the NT 4.0 Workstation and Server
exams but neither one by itself was sufficient.

| The college will probably offer the course: Supporting Windows 2000
Professional & Server. This then relates to the exams 210 and 215. You would
probably have to pay the £85 or what ever it is to do each exam afterwards,
not necessarily held at the college

| You are right, the MOC trainning is for both and is sufficient for
certification depending on the instructor. I have taugh this course at least
6 times and I see no problem for someone like you that has experience in the
IT field. The passing rate for pro after this course is about 85 % and
higher with server. But you will have to practice and study on your own a
bit. Crammsession have a good resume of what you have to know before you sit
the exam
Good luck
Georges
