Author mount NFS-sort-of-thing via ssh

Here's my situation: I've got a shell account at my ISP -- I can
telnet, ssh, ftp, etc. into it -- and I'd like to set up one of my
directories so that my own system, at home (I use a cable modem, not
that it matters -- but I do have a relatively-stable IP address) sees
it as a partition, and can copy files to/from it, just like it was a
local/ntp/smb filesystem.

Is there any reasonable/obvious way to accomplish this?
