| just a matter of curiosity
on one of the windows (usenet) groups...someone had wanted to
change the time-stamp of a file to 1973 ( it was a scanned photo taken in
that year)
he was using the dos equiv to the *nix " touch" command
and could not set the date prior to 1980
the question came up of operating system vs bios...
so i booted over to linux and 'touched' the date of a file back to 1966
then booted back to windows
i was going to run scandisk and see if it saw an invalid time-stamp
but in booting to windows...when i now view the file...it's been given the
date 1994
(originally it was 2002)
just curious to see if anyone knows what's going on...
looks like another one of windows' defects to me...
but i'm, asking on a linux group as i'm more likely to get a correct answer
thanks
