| hello,
Recently I have upgraded my box from slackware 8.0 to 8.1 using the
2.4.18 kernel. I have a MiniView 4 port KVM switch, a logitech
optical mouse m-bj48 and a CompUSA (Chicony) KUH 9943 keyboard.
Within slackware 8.0. I was able to get all of these components to
work. When I upgraded, I can only get the mouse to work and I get a
ton of message for the keyboard like the following.

I'm using the usb-uhci and uhci drivers. Help!!!! Do I need to
downgrade my kernel. I'm about to do that. Thanks!

? If you have a UHCI USB chipset, you only use *one* of those. I
suggest using usb-uhci, since it seems that a lot of things don't work
correctly if you try to use uhci.

If that works, you may have found a kernel bug, so contact the USB
maintainer(s) and explain what's going on. Their contact information
will be in the source files in /usr/src/linux/drivers/usb/hiddev.c ,
maybe elsewhere.

Thanks for a quick response. I ended up downgrading to the 2.4.5
kernel and got both the keyboard and mouse to work. I also turned on
usb keyboard and mouse functionaliy on my bios. I hope this helps?
Thanks.
