Author LCP: Timeout waiting for Config-Requests - ??

Hi people,
I'm setting up ppp on my RH7.3 install using wvdial and pppd. My modem
dials out (I've got dial on demand sorta working), and connects, yet hangs
up after a few seconds with the error "LCP: Timeout waiting for
Config-Requests". Anyone have an idea what this means? My ISP uses PAP as
far as I know.

Any help greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Shane.

Your computer and the ISP couldn't agree on LCP options. This can be
anything from negotioating PAP, CHAP-MD5, protocol compression, asyncmap,
and so forth and so on.

If you post the relevant part of /var/log/messages, we might be able to
tell you more!

Regards,
Wessel
