Author What is the zip utility for linux called?

Hi

I've downloaded the mozilla source to compile but when running the
configure script it checks my $PATH for an executable named
zip. Does anyone know the package I need to install to get
this? I have bzip2 and gzip but I believe there is a third
just called zip. Google is just spitting back "linux from
a zip drive!".

Thanks

Hi Ben,

you shouldn't write you text in the signature.

The package is called (RH 7.3), guess you can find it via
www.rpmfind.net:

unzip-5.50-2

Michael - what do you mean by this? Let me know
and I'll do the necessary...

Two dashes ("--") means that your message is over and that you're
signature is next. In your first post, you typed your message after the
dashes. Judging from your second post, it seems that you just made a
mistake in your first post, so don't worry about it.

The package you need are "zip" and "unzip" they should both be
included in the distro CD's.

What he meant was that your message was all below the signature
divider "--" in your first message instead of just having the
signature below it.

Below "--" is the signature.

No; below "-- " is the signature.

Even though you are correct, most clients will interpret the dash-dash as
the signature. The bad ones will not.
