I'm also trying to use an ATMEL USB card (Netgear MA101), I was able
to put a static IP and netmask on my /etc/conf.d/net file (i wrote
iface_eth1="192.168.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.0"
) but the card only start talking to the accesspoint if I manually do
iwconfig eth1 channel 1
or even
iwconfig eth1 channel 3
or whatever channel I put in the command, but if I don't I won't be
able to access the router ... This is kind of strange though ...
