i use slack. i have a cable modem, and because of my ICS setup (which i'm
not sure how to do in linux) i need to get the modem to my computer by USB.
....how? i can't even get it to work through the network card. i tested it
in windows and it worked, restarted in linux, and it couldn't access the
'net.. i ran netconfig and everything. what's goin on?

If you can't get it solved, you might try logging on to IRC (Internet Relay
Chat) on DalNet, and ask for help in #linuxpeople. If you catch the right
people, you'll be able to get help with both issues, the USB and the ICS.

Luck...
