I'm reading http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Linux-Init-HOWTO-3.html and they
point to a file located at linux/arch/i386/boot/video.S
now I don't find it ?????

What are you asking?
FWIW, /usr/src/linux/arch/i386/boot/video.S _does_ exist. I assume that you
have installed the Linux kernel source in /usr/src/linux .

ooh so the file is compiled when you compile the kernel to an image file ??

If you choose so, yes. That looks like the video selection "stuff" taht
allows you to choose your resolution for the console. It's not enabled
by default that I've ever seen. If you use menuconfig, you enable it in
the "console drivers" section. You'll want to enable a few other things
there as well depending on what you want to do. I personally use
frame-buffer support and use it in 1024x768 mode (vga=791 in lilo).

I'm going to assume you really mean /usr/src/linux/(whatever). That's
the kernel sources. Do you have them? You can always get them from
www.kernel.org, or your distro should offer them for DL as well.
